Spiti Valley. Authentic life.

The card village Hikim (Hikim).
At first, I wanted to write a great post about the Spiti valley, about which there can go, what to see, that in the monasteries that in the village, where to stay and what to eat. But I changed my mind, a great post about Spiti will not, and will just post about what I think of Spiti, what thoughts and feelings I have caused it than impressed, and of course will be pretty pictures.
In general, be honest, I did not expect that the valley of Spiti would be such an interesting, exciting so much that now it appears on the first line of my hit parade of places that I visited. Why it happened, I think, will not be easy to explain, but most likely the case here in the first place in the life of the local villages and in the small number of tourists. That is the life of the local villages survived so much that sometimes becomes even scary, I do not sleep I, is it still awake or can with me that something is not right and it's all my imagination. Common sense can not always believe that in the 21st century, people live as lived a couple thousand years ago, and that the changes in life and the way of life, which of course also there, so not significant. This is, in part, due to not a lot of tourists, ie tourists with their money, not yet spoiled this valley, and it continues to maintain its pristine condition, as much as possible of course. And the question I am now of course not about Kase (the capital of Spiti valley) and not of the villages situated directly in the valley, I was also very impressed by the villages located in the side. During the week-long journey on foot to nearby villages I visited the village comedian (Komik), Hikim (Hikim), Lanza (Langja), Domul (Domul), these villages are located at altitudes of 4400 - 4600; Lalung (Lalung) and Dankar (Dhankar) lower, somewhere in 4000-36 can say with firm conviction that nothing like I have not seen in Nepal, nor in Ladakh, or anywhere else yet, I was like a bud teleported to a time machine in the cloud of fucking years ago, and if not for electric wires and TV antennas, I would seriously consider the option became random teleportation.

Rasskinulas village Lanza (Langja)

Very compact village Comedian (Komik)

Derain Domul (Domul). I liked the rest of the forest, although Comedian course also very authentic, but Domul more, and for its racy certainly not inferior to the comedian. All the houses in the village are made in classic Tibetan style, and the residents themselves almost Tibetans exact same ethnic group, almost the same language, a little bit different, but in general, that Tibet, which Ladakh, Spiti that it is one and the same region, one and the same people.

Village Domul (Domul).

Locals life goes on as usual, in the fields rostet rice, peas and wheat, cattle grazing, milk milked for tourists here, no one expects tourists is of course a good support, real money so to speak, but there Few, if not plow and sow not, then stretch the legs. By the way I say that for your entire track tourists I met only once, just in the village Domul this were 4 German traveler and all tourists more I have not seen :)

Locals. Domul village.

In the evening, when the sun begins to droop, with pasture cattle are driven to the village, the sight is very interesting, as the beast and its motley lot, but it runs fast and most interestingly, it runs each to his house. Cloud of dust, all mixed up: donkeys, cows, sheep, goats, yaks, horses and all somehow hightail shepherds and customize them yet :)

Domul village.

But the kids enjoy the situation and play the fool :)

But this evening rural landscape from the roof of the house where I was staying in the lower left corner of the frame, you can see sheep and donkeys in the paddock, I will highlight the flashlight.

The village and field, golf, golf, golf ..

And this is a village Lalung (Lalung). In this village, I had a hard find a house in which I can not stop, or rather, I found the house quickly, but its owners had to look, all day working in the field and at home, no one sits, plus everything with the English in this village not at all, well if anyone knows of a couple of dozen words, but most do not know it at all.

The village Dankar (Dhankar), located in the village of the same name monastery, the oldest monastery in Spiti, was founded in the 9th century. There is already smacks of tourists, as this village is 2-3 km from the main road and get here orazdo easier than in previous village, but still, all of this ocheno :)

But this week the track absolutely nothing, I'm just one eye looked at all of this, but this is not bad, not bad that I looked at it all, now I know what it is and I put a huge fat tick Spiti valley and have no doubt that I will return here again with a more prolonged visit. In general, cool it would be to stay here for the winter, I would really like to see how everything looks here in the winter, as the locals do overwinter here, yes, it would be really cool :) Maybe I'll do that, but what I'll be back here does not cause me any doubt as painfully here, everything looks exactly as I like it, it was too everything is in the present, everything in fact :) PS with photos without problems, rpp-shnaya Film development, Sharp in Photoshop :)
