A browser extension that brings a live webcam from somewhere in the world to your screen every few minutes — a ski resort in the Alps, a beach, a harbour, a city square.

Add to Chrome — free

It does not use your own camera. It shows public webcams of places around the world, from travel-cam.net.

A new webcam every few minutes

Every 5, 10, 30 or 60 minutes — you choose — the extension picks a webcam from about 2,600 cameras in 60 countries and shows it in a small notification.

A notification from the extension: New web camera — Show "Switzerland - Grindelwald"

Click it: the live view opens

The camera's page opens on travel-cam.net with the current picture and a credit to the camera's operator. The toolbar icon opens the latest webcam too.

Local time, sunrise and sunset

Each camera page shows the local time where the camera is, today's sunrise, sunset and day length, and the webcams nearby.

Your countries, your pace

  • How often a new webcam appears: 5, 10, 30 or 60 minutes.
  • Which countries to show — or the whole world, if you pick none.
  • Notifications on or off; with them off, the toolbar icon still opens the latest webcam.
  • English or Ukrainian.

Good to know

The picture in a notification is a stored snapshot and can be older than the live view; the camera's page always shows the current image.

Privacy

The extension keeps only your settings, in Chrome's own storage. It does not collect personal data, does not read the pages you visit and talks to no site other than travel-cam.net.
